Alongside twin brother Andrew, Stuart has over 30 years’ experience working in design and print at Barley Print and the Barley House Group. He is passionate about all things creative, from graphic design to interiors and landscape gardening and loves the skill and art of traditional typography. His work these days is more involved in the strategic development of the Group, bringing together design, litho printing, large format digital print and exhibition displays, but he still relishes his oversight of client projects. Stuart enjoys spending time with family, cooking, running, renovating old properties and the occasional game of golf. He also finds time for the odd glass of wine.

Graham started his career in traditional pre-press and paste up (the old C10 board and Rotring pens, for those who recall those days!) but has worked at Shades for over 13 years, watching it grow as large format and display media have benefitted from digital and technological innovation Give Graham a brief and he will find the right solution (or combination of solutions) for your needs, backed up with the knowhow and technical skills to ensure every client gets the best possible result for each project. Graham's idea of relaxation is watching a good, loud action film accompanied by a tub of popcorn and a family bag of Maltesers!

Paul has lived and breathed Barley House Group for seven years and is often the first point of contact for our clients. He has an overview of every project he’s involved with and ensures the best of our team is working with the best of yours. Paul is happy when our clients are happy! When Paul isn’t spending time with his family or watching classic films (Laurel and Hardy are particular favourites) he takes every opportunity to go running, improving his personal best at 10K as well as doing the occasional half marathon and more for charity.

Carole joined us in 2015 after many years working in new business development and account management and is a catalyst in our team. She has worked with a variety of clients within the design, corporate and commercial sectors, bringing a wealth of knowledge about print formats, materials and finishes for all your requirements. As the initial and ongoing contact for clients, she enjoys finding out all there is to know about each one and working in partnership with them. Carole is our client champion: attention to detail is her mantra, ensuring every aspect of your project is delivered on time and on budget. Away from work, Carole loves nothing better than to relax on a beach, playing ‘competitive’ Scrabble with her husband. Her favourite quote is: "Women are like teabags. Karen is the first person you'll meet when you visit, giving a warm welcome to everyone at Barley House. She has been the helpful voice on the end of the phone for over six years and enjoys regular contact with clients and suppliers alike, building relationships and finding solutions with her can-do approach! Karen could be described as the lynch-pin of Barley House Group, issuing invoices, co-ordinating deliveries, managing the office and assisting with production management. In her spare time, Karen is currently enjoying renovating her house. She also loves hunting for bargains at auctions and antique fairs, seeing live music and comedy and eating out.
